The Technicians in Opto-electronics Project (TOPs) Annual report
This is the first annual report of the Technicians in Optoelectronics [TOPS] project and the Photonics Academy.We have worked hard to develop the new apprentice programme for Optoelectronics and look forward to the results of the first pilot of the technical cer tificate. The approach, linking in public and private sector, large and small businesses and higher and further education, is a model of best practice in partnership working.
Ensuring that new developments in education and training are relevant to the businesses operating in the sector is of paramount importance and the TOPS project has been successful in achieving this. I look forward to the remaining two years and the continued success of the project.
